People learn to rollerblade in several different ways, and for varied
reasons. Generally, learner skaters are divided into watches, doers,
and analysers. These groups are quantitatively divided into people
who are learning to skate for personal achievement, fitness fanatics,
or because their mates, partner or colleague dragged them along. What
has this got to do with anything you may be wondering, well the point
is that this page is dedicated to helping you find the best ways for
learning to skate.
A lot of very good rollerbladers have learnt to skate from watching
other more skilled rollerbladers showing off, then try replicate the
trick they observed. These people have loads of time on theirs hands
and will try and try till the cows come home. They are easily spotted
as their skates tend to be a little old and been around the block
a few times and they have pink scars on their elbows and knees.
People who enter the group lessons tend to be either very sociable
(the ones who dragged their friend screaming and kicking), or conversely
complete hermits who hope to find personal achievement. These lessons
are less personal but tend to be rather fun or nightmarishly dull!
Hiring a personal instructor for a small group of people can work
out to be a cheap option. Not so cheap for 1 on 1 instruction. This
is option that is very flexible. You are sure to move at a pace that
fits you or your small group.
